Junicode (short for Junius-Unicode) is a free Unicode typeface for medievalists, designed by Peter S. Baker of University of Virginia. It is very similar in style to typefaces of the 18th century such as Caslon. The roman characters are based on a typeface used by the Clarendon Press in the 17th century, and the Greek characters are based on Greek Double Pica from the 18th century. Junicode includes characters used in European medieval texts, in the Unicode ranges:
Junicode supports part of the Medieval Unicode Font Initiative and is available in Regular, Italic, Bold and Bold Italic.
